Intermediary

The Alliance is one of a growing number of intermediary organizations nationwide working to guide and support the improvement agendas of their local school districts. As such, we work with the SFUSD to prioritize needs and identify challenges within our school system. In close partnership with district personnel and other stakeholders, we develop strategic, long-term solutions and organize expert teams of administrators, non-profit partners, reformers, researchers, and others to implement reform programs. We hold the district accountable to measurable results and ensure that the intended outcomes of community partnerships are met.

Matchmaker

The Alliance provides a single, strategic point of contact for the funding community to engage with SFUSD. We align funder interests with SFUSD priorities and manage effective, efficient, and high-leverage grant processes and programs. We provide the highest standards of efficiency, accountability and oversight for private support of San Francisco’s public schools.

Fiscal Sponsor

We provide fiscal sponsorship for unincorporated projects that are interested in working in SFUSD, which includes technical assistance in program coordination, administration, and fiscal management.
